ABOUT MARPOHL

Mari Pohlman is a Dallas-based artist specializing in large-scale murals. Her love of public art has been shaped by her time backpacking and exploring in different cities. 

Her art journey began after earning an accounting degree and working in business for six years. Seeking a new direction, she took a year off to travel solo. While in Southeast Asia, she rediscovered her passion for art when she bought a sketchbook and started sketching her surroundings. She returned to Dallas with a collection of travel illustrations which became the foundation of her new brand "marpohl."

As a self-taught artist, Mari now leverages her business background to manage her brand and lead client-focused mural projects. In addition to painting murals, she offers art consulting and interactive workshops.

Mari's murals can be found throughout the DFW area and beyond, including works for the Dallas Mavericks, Lyft, Heineken, and two murals at the Museum of the Southwest in Midland, Texas. Her work has been featured by CBS 11, FOX 4, D Magazine, the Dallas Observer, and the Dallas Morning News.
